Privacy Policy

Daily Bread is a service of Media4U LLC. Many people who use this service are going through a hard season, and information about that can cause real harm in the wrong hands. This policy explains exactly what we hold and who can see it.
Who we are
Media4U LLC, 6315 Glen Aire Ave, Riverside, CA. Privacy questions go to support@mymentalreps.com.
What we collect
- Your account. Name and email through our sign-in provider, your role, and the region or organization you belong to. We never see your password.
- Requests for help. What you asked for and any details you chose to include, so someone can respond.
- Food listings and reservations. What is available, who posted it, and who reserved it.
- Volunteer records. Tasks you sign up for, hours, credits earned, and - for roles that require it - the result of a background check.
- Shelter bookings. Bookings made with partner shelters through the service.
- Donations. Amount, date, and the identifiers our payment processor gives us. Card numbers never touch our servers.
- Messages and notifications. Messages sent through the app, and - if you allow them - push notification tokens for your device.
- Newsletter. Your email address, if you subscribe.
- Basic site analytics. Anonymous page-visit counts.
Who can see what
This is the part that matters most. A request for help is visible to the organizations and coordinators who can act on it - not to the public, and not to other people seeking help. Volunteer background check results are visible only to the administrators who must review them, never to other volunteers or the people you serve. Shelter bookings are shared with the specific partner shelter involved, and no one else.
Public food listings, community stories, and blog comments are public by nature - please share only what you are comfortable making public.
What we will not do
- We do not sell your personal information, and we never have.
- We do not use your information to advertise to you.
- We do not proactively hand information about people seeking help to law enforcement or immigration authorities. We comply with valid legal process when we are legally required to, and nothing more.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, or where we believe in good faith that someone is at risk of serious harm.
Service providers
We share only what is necessary with the providers that run the service: sign-in and account security, database and file hosting, payment processing for donations, email delivery, mapping and place lookup, and error monitoring. Each has its own privacy policy.
Your choices
- Newsletter emails carry an unsubscribe link in every message.
- You can turn off push notifications from your browser or device at any time.
- To see, correct, or delete what we hold about you, write to support@mymentalreps.com and we will take care of it.
If you live in California, you may request the categories of personal information we collect, request deletion, and be free from discrimination for exercising those rights.
How long we keep it
We keep records while your account is active and for as long as needed to run the service. Donation records are kept as long as financial and tax rules require. Background check results are kept only as long as the volunteer role requires.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, sign-in is handled by a dedicated provider, and access to sensitive records is limited to the administrators who need it. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not claim otherwise.
Children
Daily Bread is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. A family may of course receive food through an adult’s account.
Changes
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top, and give notice in the app when the change is significant.
